GATE SERVICE / INSTALLATION ENGINEER
Countryside Automation specialise in the installation and maintenance of all types of automatic gates, barriers, bollards, access control, CCTV and all other security products. We operate within both the commercial and domestic sectors.
Due to our continued expansion we are looking to appoint a Service / Installation Engineer we welcome applicants of all abilities to join our dynamic team.
You will preferably have an electro / mechanical background with groundworks and finishing. You will be highly motivated, have strong customer service skills, conscientious, trustworthy and possess the enthusiasm to work effectively both as an individual engineer or as part of a team. A clean driving licence is required although candidates with 3 point will be considered and this role will require an enhanced DBS check.
Key Skills and responsibilities for the role include:
Reactive repairs to automatic breakdowns
Pre-planned maintenance and service visits
Scheduled upgrade & safety upgrade works
Previous experience in the gate/barrier automation or CCTV and access control industry would be advantageous
Welding experience would also be advantageous
An understanding of the legal requirements of the automation industry including carrying out risk assessments, force testing and Cat 2 and 3 safety edges although ongoing training will be provided.
Use general power tools competently and safely
40 hours per week
28 days paid holiday (includes bank holidays)
Ongoing training and support
Normal working hours are 8.30am – 5pm although you may be required to start earlier or finish later. You would also be added onto our fully paid ‘on call’ rota and this will require you to be on 24hr standby (telephone support and emergency breakdown attendance) for a 7-day period every 5/6 weeks.
We are based 10 minutes from Chelmsford Town Centre.
